Inspiration

The earlier seeds which were sowed gave me an inspiration and we thought of sowing more and more seeds to fill up our garden area.

Seeds sown on 20-Jan-2013 were:

  1. Beet
  2. Capsicum
  3. Chilly
Seeds sown on 26-Jan-2013 were:
  1. Radish
  2. Bottlegourd
Last week, my plants faced a deadly attack by the pigeons and the crows hovering around my balcony area.

Some of the seeds which were germinated were badly destroyed by these creatures.

Heard of King Bruces and the spider story, that we must TRY TRY and never give up... something similar i did... i started sowing more seeds and tried to recover the plants which were destroyed during the aftermath.

Some visual pictures on the progress....

More Seeds

Om Ganeshaya Namah !!

I thought of penning down my new hobby of gardening.

Whats the better way to start than making use of BLOGGER (all credits to google for their JIT approach of creating Blog Site)

The idea of writing down a blog complements the logic of keeping track / systematically sequencing the day to day events occurring during the entire life cycle of plant growth. In this blog I will post my day to day updates of the seeds which i have sown for just giving a try on How an individual can adopt ORGANIC Gardening approach.

First day i started with 5 different seeds:

1) Chilly
2) Tomato
3) Palak
4) Unknown (seeds which we do not know)
5) Surprise (seeds which we do not know - just to give some different name)

- Seeds courtesy was my Sister, who stays in Pune
- Cocopeat was also purchased during my Pune Visit on last week of Dec 2012
- Soil was brought from nearby Nursery at Sakinaka area
- Food container was used as a base for seed germination (re-usability concept)

This is how the entire setup looked like:
Date: 01 Jan 2013

And now the wait for the seeds to germinate starts .....
